We set up our cosy modern vegan guesthouse to raise money to rescue animals.

We are currently using the profits from the guesthouse to build The Field Shelter sanctuary but once we’re all built and ready to go we’ll be using the profits for the day to day running costs, feed, and vet bills.

We are situated in a quiet village in rural Perthshire. We are ideally positioned right on the Cateran Trail so you can explore the great outdoors, the walks really are right on the doorstep. We are also within 25 minute drive of the Cairngorms National Park, Glenshee ski centre, and Pitlochry.

You can book your stay via Air BnB

The guesthouse consists of a bedroom with a king sized double bed, a cosy living area with large windows looking out onto the surrounding fields, as well as a comfortable sofa bed, a small but modern bathroom, and a kitchenette with a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, dining table, and V60 coffee maker.

The whole space here at The Field Shelter is a vegan haven. Home-baked welcome treats are included in the price of your stay (Jojo used to run a little bakery in Brighton!) and the kitchenette is stocked with oat milk, vegan cereals, loose leaf tea, Fair Trade sugar, and coffee.

Our garden is a home to a lot of wildlife and our guests have enjoyed watching red squirrels, rabbits, deer, and pheasants. As well as planning to rescue farmed animals who are looking for their forever homes we are working on sowing a wildflower meadow so that we can help bees thrive.

We are LGBTQIA+ friendly and we try to be as eco friendly as possible. We are powered by renewable energy and we provide vegan and eco friendly shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and washing up liquid. Our sheets and towels are made from Fair Trade organic cotton. We sourced the art for the walls from independent artists and designers and purchased some of our furniture second hand. We have a selection of zines and books abut veganism, feminism, and gender for you to peruse during your stay.

Unfortunately the guesthouse is not suitable for children between the ages of 2 and 12 years old. We have some dilapidated outbuildings and whilst we work towards renovating them we cannot allow children on the property. This is a no smoking guesthouse both inside and on the surrounding grounds.
